Easing cash flow associated with EWCO grants, Connect the Wild has partnered with Plant One to expedite the planting and care of 3.5 hectares of native trees, extending and complementing existing ancient woodland. Situated alongside a stream, the new woodland will reduce surface run-off, improve water quality, and enhance the ecological resilience of the wider site

One of Cornwall's oldest estates, is planting over 10,000 trees across 5.9ha of primarily native deciduous woodland, designed by Working Woodlands CIC. The project includes sustainable conifer forestry and will double an existing woodland. Located along the Fal Estuary above Falmouth's oyster beds, the woodland will buffer farm run-off and improve water quality. Properly managed, it will boost biodiversity, absorb CO₂, and deliver community benefits. This season focuses on deer fencing and 3,000 trees across two sites, with the remainder planted next season.
